I am Pankaj Sanam - a technology lead, architect, builder, and long-form learner.
Most of my work sits around backend systems, product architecture, developer tools, AI workflows, automation, and practical web products. I like building things that are fast, useful, maintainable, and boring in the right places.
Over the years, I have worked across Node.js, Bun, ElysiaJS, NestJS, React, Python, FastAPI, Go, PostgreSQL, cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and AI-assisted workflows. I enjoy taking messy requirements and turning them into systems that people can actually use, extend, and trust.
Outside technology, my life is deeply shaped by Devi and Bhairava Saadhna, Advaita, meditation, long walks, time in nature, and being near the water. If you want to explore that side of my journey, I share personal writings, scriptural resources, and spiritual reflections at rahasyam.com.
I enjoy connecting with people who value clarity, intensity, sincerity, and good conversations - the kind where engineering, product taste, philosophy, and lived experience can sit at the same table.
I always wanted to be a doctor when I was a kid, but everything changed once I got a computer in my last year of school. I fell in love with it, even though I was still distant from anything related to programming. This was during the time of dial-up internet connections with speeds of 5 Kbps or less.
I didn't get into web development until a particular incident changed everything. I was scammed by someone on a forum for a PHP script. It was a GPT (Get-Paid-To) script that I bought to start a website to make money, despite having zero programming experience.
So I decided to learn and do it myself rather than rely on scammers. This decision changed the course of my life in 2012, and honestly, I don't regret it. I started my journey with PHP and Laravel, then shifted towards the JS/TS ecosystem, and eventually expanded into Python and systems architecture.
